Except for the people running it, RTB is fine as an add-on distributing system. Steam Workshop would be unhelpful.

Except I think more people would upload to steam workshop rather then RTB since you dont need to download a seperate addon

Worthwhile tradeoff for RTB's quality standards.

I was gonna say something about how I don't like Steam Workshop but then I realized I have no idea why I don't like it... Maybe because my first impressions were with Skyrim, where Nexus Mods already has an excellent system going, as well as almost every mod made for the game, so Steam workshop starting off with no mods and operating on a completely new system wasn't really a step forward. Then when some people start posting to the Workshop instead of Nexus, the game lost the "every mod in one convenient place" aspect. I suspect that'd happen to Blockland in the same situation.

RTB on steam workshop.

Paradox inbound.

no because steam workshop isn't an add-on
if it was an add-on and on RTB then it would be a paradox

RTB is what makes BL unique, I hope it doesn't get replaced with a Steam workshop.

RTB isn't what makes blockland unique lol, it's a chat addon.

...and a dedicated host, addon host, and a way to stay in contact with others out of servers. it's hardly just a "chat" addon.

I was just simplifying it, it's helpful I don't disagree with that but it's not what makes blockland unique.

simplifying it doesn't mean take 3 necessary functions of the mod out and specifying a single one. it may not be unique, but I hardly can see blockland without it. but of course everyone is going to use steam workshop cause you won't have to install anything extra, and since everyone is using steam and not rtb, we're kind of forced to use steam.

i hate steam

I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of it either, even though I use it to stay in contact with my online friends. It really does promote many games though -- and especially some indies.

i'll never understand what goes through people's minds when they say things like this other than "man i'm hip"

some people on the greenlight page does not take jokes well
we're too hostile towards people who say it's minecraft, with like 5 replys to that one guy
even if he was making a joke

I dislike it because of the way games are tied to my account and the DRM. Oh, it's also very slow on my computer. Other than that it's fine, though.
