Author Topic: Upgrading from iPod Touch 2g to iPod Touch 5g?  (Read 4986 times)

iPhone = Phone for rich wannabes that think they can afford it and somehow do. I am clearly just someone out to buy a new media player that I have not upgraded since 2009. So, your opinion is no longer valid.

There is a big difference, also the physical quality degrades with the iPhone. You're clearly blind or just discovered Macintosh.

Lovely! Another person dismissing my argument with a stupid "your argument is invalid"!

iDevices are all the same, whether they include a phone or not. Buy any other MP4 player and you can do all the things that a "media player" can do.

people who don't like iPhone either

1) prefer samsung
2) have a stuffty brick phone and are too poor to afford a real phone

you seem like 2. (talking to Darkness ZXW)

Darkness you brought up a handicapped argument to start. iPod Touches and iPhones are made by the same company, but are two different devices. They have similar IOS's but they are different devices.

I don't require a phone and if you read the post I can afford one. Sorry but not everyone likes fancy full-keyboard phones to text their whores.

Still implies to others, my mistake.

I have the iPod Touch 2nd Generation for a reason. To listen to music AND other things that a typical media player cannot do. I have my reasons to invest in this product, do you have your reasons to blabber like a handicap?

I've had an iPod Touch 4g for almost 2 years now, and in that time, the lock button broke. I'm also thinking about buying a 5g when they come out, and I would say you should.

Thank you for keeping the intended topic going.

You really should try opting for alternatives, there are many good android phones/pdas out there that woulds fit better in whatever budget you have.

i know someone in school who has exactly that
does said person like it

does said person like it

yes

he also let me mess around with it and its pretty cool

I'd say yes

what have they changed in the 5g though?

just wondering because I have a 4th generation

I would rather stick to my guns with Apple products on this post. I am more familiar with the IOS and their products, plus I would prefer to pay once then get forgeted in some contract.  I need to know if anyone actually reads on the forums. Twice now, the money I have set aside for anything I want to buy is $600, and this iPod Touch costs half of that.

http://www.apple.com/ipod-touch/ Look a little more on that page if you want more info / Google but to sum it up:

 - 4" screen versus traditional 3" screen that was on all other models
 - HD 720p camera (Pretty sure it's 720 I'm not looking at the numbers)
 - No smudge-able back anymore
 - Only 32gb and 64gb models, 8gb and 16gb are obsolete (Just found out about that)
 - The metal wrap-around comes in different colors (Blue, Red "Pink", Black, Grey, and Yellow)
 - All colors make front dashboard white except black, which keeps the dashboard black
 - Comes with new EarPods
 - 8 hours of video battery life, 40 hours of audio (Music) battery life
 - Retina display (I don't know if this was on the 4th generation or not, post below if you're smarter than me right now)
 - LED Flash on the front so you can blind your enemies
 - It looks lovey

Because it comes free with the purchase, I figure I add a bit of some engraving on it:

Yes I know I screwed up with the transparency.

This is a Personalized iPod Touch 5G Black/Slate with 32gb disk space.
