Here's what I understand.
Atheism is basically saying that you believe that there is no god, no deity of any kind. This implies surety.

No, atheism is just a lack of religion. It can also be the denial of religion, but the actual definition is "a lack of belief."

Agnosticism is not quite areligion either, since it is the state of searching for god; finding your own definitions and still being spiritual in some way.

It's not a belief, it's a lack of belief.

It's a subtle difference in wording, but a great different in meaning; the difference is that the former is an assertion, while the latter is just "yeah I don't believe that"

For the other two:
I looked up areligion, and it looks like it's indifference towards the subject of religion. For the sake of "What religion are you?", "without god" and "without religion" are so similar they might as well be thrown together; too many options just complicates polls.
Agnosticism has nothing to do with "searching for God"; it's the idea that the existance of a god can not be proven/disproven, nothing more
