And 7 of those are bugfixes.
Now imagine if shaders and shadows were released with terrains and interiors remaining in Blockland.
We would still be waiting on the first or maybe the second bugfix, out of the 20 we would need.
Then we look to future updates. Imagine vehicle physics finally being somehow fixed with terrains and interiors complicating the code. Then more bugs come and we have to wait 3 more months just so we can actually use vehicles.
Or we can cut those two out, and have bugfixes at a normal rate.
i'd rather have interiors and terrain than shadows and shaders that lag me to death on minimum, but that's just my opinion.
Oh, it's this post again. The one I've seen more than 20 times in the initial discussion topic "shadows and shaders vs terrains and interiors".
Shadows and shaders weren't the primary reason terrains and interiors were removed. They were removed because they complicate all code in the engine. So you really should be happy whether or not you can run them.
I acknowledge that the old terrain and interiors system complicated many things for the developers, but nothing is stopping them from creating a newer and more polished version of interiors and terrain, one similar to the efficient blb system they made.
However, I know they are a small team and it will take a considerable amount of work and time to implement it, but I am certain that players would love to see interior maps return.
It would be neat to have better looking and better functioning terrains and interiors. And maybe one day we'll get them, once more important things come around.
cut both in favor of movable bricks (buildable vehicles) and technic bricks.
Movable bricks would be pawsome.
