1. if the US leaves the middle east, then that gives terrorists a reason to come to the US instead of fighting on their home turf
2. it gives the taliban more to work with and more to do, ie. they can overthrow government
3. it makes the US look bad as forget
4. you cant just decided it by yourself, congress has to come up with this stuff and agree
1) Maybe we should put some of the military's defense budget into improving security instead of meddling with the world's affairs.
2) Who cares? The Middle East is already packed with terrorists as it stands.
3) We look bad as warmongering, pushy capitalists as it is. We'd look
better if we withdrew.
4) Unfortunately for us, that will likely never happen.
