Roland is my favorite character in the first game, meeting with him in this game was more fun than meeting with Lilith, i loved how his turret had the ability to heal and regenerate ammo, i felt very overpowered in Borderlands, my class mod gave team ammo regen, me and my brother had health regen shields, my turret worked very well and regenerated health and i think ammo

Mordecai was alright, it was helpful how every enemy he shot got slagged

Tiny Tina is a scary little girl with an odd sense of naming by the way :(

The game has a very nice feel to it after just 30 minutes of playtime.  The textures are my only irk with the game, and load rather slowly but not really to the point where it makes me upset.  Nevertheless I'm moving it to my SSD just to see if it improves.  I'm finding that Borderlands 1's texture loading was better but then again this game probably has like a stuffload more textures on screen than the first one.  Still a great game even only after 30 minutes.

i beat it

everything about this game is a step up

the bosses are bigger and badder and more forgiving but still very difficult, the mooks are more fun and more forgiving but still very difficult, the minibosses are etcetera etcetera

the guns aesthetically AND functionally are loving amazing (even though i still sort of despite maliwan) and they all sort of have a 'place' in the world

miscellaneous details have been honed to a loving mirror sheen, like the dogstuff sounds and animations from the first game and the weird fact that things turned into a (very small) amount of gibs when you headshot them or run them over

recommend this to loving EVERYONE. i want borderlands 3.
