Funny, out of all of the Reach figures, I never bought Jorge.  I wanted him after the wave's release, and sadly couldn't find him.  Oh well, I think I can live without.

Still, looks great.  I hear there's a big deal about him having waist articulation due to how the transformation works (I wouldn't know, I personally don't care for Zeta's design).

I didn't want to rush it like I did with the other models. I wanted to SAVOR it. So I dragged it out to 3 days.

Total time spent building it was around 6 and a half hours, the weapons will probably take another hour or so.

The waist can turn a few degrees and does tilt side to side (the tilting feels a little loose). I thought the yellow neckplate was sunk lower than it should have been, but it's probably necessary. From what I can tell, the transformation is a lot like the MG's transformation (based off the Delta Plus, anyway), but miniaturized.

Funny, Zeta's one of my favorite designs.

Yeah, a lot of people love zeta.  I just don't like how stiff it looks in certain areas, the smaller arms, the larger lower legs (hate that on most suits, this is why GP01fb is 10x worse than GP01), the oddly shaped wings, the... oddly proportioned head (loks sad ): ), and I tend not to like too much black + red in a colorscheme.  It can look cool, but I like mechanical colorschemes more.

I always liked the more compact design of the wings over the sparkly pronged wings of SEED. In Waverider mode they're reminiscent of the Space Shuttle, probably why I prefer them.

Anywaaaay, weapons are done. The beam saber openings only accept the oversized MG blades, unfortunately. The more proportionate HGUC blades are for the Beam Rifle.




I'll attempt the transformation tomorrow, then I'll build the Turn A sometime during the week.

The design of the wings is actually very neat, however there's something very offputting about their location.

But, in general, I hate wings.  Aesthetically, they make posing a bitch, and they don't look good in ground combat poses, which I prefer over air poses (which are usually just action shots for me, not flying poses).
