Yep.
"Mission is almost over, we've got three plants left!"
"Roger. Going in hot."
Quickly, I pull my throttle back to slow down and turn on my speed brake. Immediately after, the bomb reticule pops on, and I center it on the middle of the plant. After dropping the bomb, I pull away.
Unfortunately, not fast enough. Before I've even cleared the area, the ordinance meets its target, a small mushroom cloud forming. Suddenly, I receive a master warning and engine fire warning as my plane begins to spin out of control. Looking back, half of my left wing has been cut clean off, both engines down. Below me, two large slabs on concrete are falling to the ground. I frantically reach for my radio.
"Phoenix 1-2, declaring a mayday! Both engines down, one wing gone! Ejecting!"
Looking over my cnsole, I locate the ejection lever. I glance down at my seatbelt before looking down at my sweaty palms and pulling the lever.
My vision becomes blurred as the canopy flies open, and my seat is flung out of the aircraft. For several seconds, all I can hear is the rush of air. I look below me and watch as my aircraft plunges to the ground.
