I arrive on base about 5 hours later on a SAR chopper, bitter. Irritated, I decide to read in my quarters. I walk through the corridors, eventually coming to my door. I pull out my key, and unlock the door before walking in and locking the door from the inside.

After refueling with a tanker on the way back, I finally come in for a landing.

I'm on the last leg of the pattern. Right at around flare height, I'm suddenly met with a flock of birds. I hear thud and a few clanks, followed by the sound of a turbine losing speed. The tachometer readout is abnormally low, and the master warning panel lights up.

Despite losing an engine, I stick the landing and take her in for maintenance. The ground crew chief asks me what happened. Upon hearing the story, he quietly chuckles at my misfortune.
