I still don't think we'll be seeing this any time soon. It sound like theories and ideas still.
Imo, what's more likely to result in warp-drive technology is that we discover a new force in the universe. One that could explain a lot of the things that happen in space that we don't understand. Think of it like this: Before we discovered and learnt how to use electricity people would experience static shocks and things would stick to wool, etc. and they would have no idea why the hell that was happening or why. We had no perception of an idea like electricity, or things like atoms and all the stuff we call common knowledge these days.
I think sometime in the future we will discover another force in the universe that could provide necessary power for warp drive capability.
