Bee's are so loving pass-aggressive. I didn't do stuff to it or bother it and it stung me on my arm.

Just think, every time you get stung by a bee, that bee eviscerates itself.

Not really.
Most of them have barbed insides that rip their guts out but some don't. They just live without a stinger or it grows back.

You are near the nest and therefore considered a hostile. They are driving you away because they are territorial.

Only times I get stung is when I step on one or I end up putting my arm on them.
I actually let bees land on me and they just rest there even as I move around.
