Author Topic: I just took my ACT and scored a 25  (Read 2370 times)

I'm taking the SAT in January as part of a special program from Duke University. I don't really know what to expect, but kudos to you.

Duke Tip?

SAT/ACT's are tests for schools in different parts of the country generally. Most schools on the east coast look at your ACT score, most on the west coast look at your SAT score. If you're going to more difficult schools like purdue, notre dame, and the ivy leagues, then they combine your ACT, SAT and GPA to create a number that (if i remember correctly) is between 0-60 and it basically states whether or not you're good enough. 0 being lowest 60 being highest, of course.

also, kind of irrelevant but I got a 31 on my ACT, never even bothered taking the SAT.

Damn thats pretty awesome too

Your name is all I have to say.

i make more money now than you will in 10 years.

go ahead and insult that i'm a college drop out all you want, hahah.

let me re-phrase that above statement in a way that doesn't make me sound like an ungrateful brat;

education is not important. what so ever. especially not in this country (USA). You get around by knowing people. You're better off getting entry level position at fortune-500 companies and earning your way up the ladder. you'll get invited to events. there will be other people at those events.

you gotta find your skill set. what you're good at. what you want to do forever. and then find people who do it. get in good with 'em. and then they'll hook it up. what's what i did and now i'm living very comfortably and happily. (:

That wasn't an insult.

No.
I almost feel like he said he was a dropout and put up that whole "idc" attitude just so he could write a post on how education isnt important and he makes a lot of money.

This is the dumbest thing I've heard all week, and it's only Monday.

A Masters degree is really helpful in that fortune-500 company

Do I have to explain it?

Do I have to explain it?
ALL COMMUNISTIC GOVERNMENTS HAVE TO BE DICTATORIAL!

I SENTENCE YOU TO DEATH

ALL COMMUNISTIC GOVERNMENTS HAVE TO BE DICTATORIAL!

I was referring to a high ass Tax rate and all his money would be confiscated by the government

it was a joke you don't have to get technical >.<

Do I have to explain it?

Well, the fact that a president doesn't have the power to change the whole political structure in the country is kind of what I was trying to get at.
