Windows Live Mail and SkyDrive are not even half bad, but IE is crap

Almost no one on this forum uses any feature of any operating system beyond clicking open a file on the desktop or programs folder. With that in mind the inner workings of the OS and even the interface are hardly of concern to you. If you can't figure out how to do those tasks on Windows 8 you are worse than most 80 year old grandmas at using a computer.

What's different in the system besides cosmetic changes?

So the picture is taken from the startup menu?

In my opinion Windows 8 looks like it will be for work and casual computer users, it doesn't look good for gaming and such but I'm completely fine with that because we still have windows 7 anyway.

I remember reading somewhere that people were getting higher FPS on Windows 8.

Even if it's really great, I'm not spending the money to buy another OEM copy for my computer, win7 is good enough that it really makes no difference

Forcing stuff full-screen is stupid.

Less expensive on system resources. More cool features. Super-integrated with all Microsoft products, such as Xbox and Outlook stuff.

No thanks. I'll stick to Windows 7.

Microsoft might be pulling the higher fps card out of there ass.

been running windows 8 for years

its quite good
