Our cat doesn't like the kitten, so we have to lock the kitten in the bathroom and when the cat needs to use the litter box we have to put the kitten in a box and bring him to the other room. It gets tedious.

Then your cat probably won't be able to kill it as easily. And might have even warmed up to it too.
Cats are bad at making friends that walk on more than two legs.
Also, if you're gonna add new poll options and reset all the votes every couple hours, at least get rid of the options that obviously aren't gonna win.
