Author Topic: apparently this is why miga left. UPDATE  (Read 6484 times)

twentefreak is being butthurt in the comments.
lol'd.

Let's take Miga, drag him back here, and eat him. Then he will be inside all of us and stay forever.
nonononononononono

what if he is cancerous?

I don't know why people bother to communicate within a large forum if they are so easily annoyed by simple pattern behavior that they are willing to burn bridges between people they've known for 5-6 years.
This is why I'm very ambivalent about Miga's departure.  I agree with this statement a lot, he's removed me from Steam and probably MSN if he still uses that.  I think I had him on Facebook at one point a few months ago and either he's removed/blocked me or he removed his own Facebook since I can't even remember his name on there anymore.  We used to be on rather good terms so I was upset about his departure.

I still find it annoying that i lost a friend of 5+ years because of his opinion on this community.

But you gained one

Didn't you...

Your friend of 5+ years valued himself over your shared friendship by isolating himself from everyone in the community.  Just pointing this out...

It was an internet relationship. Just pointing that out.

He's just being edgy and making a mountain out of a molehill.

The first thing everybody does when they, "quit the blockland forums" is they remove Blockland users from their friendslists and act like they are done with this community.

But in reality they check the forums daily and check their steam profile to see if one of the people they removed sent them a comment.

We're better off without him anyway.

That's a really one-sided approach to this issue. The community did not force Miga out, Miga left himself. Nobody told Miga to remove you, he just did. It's not your fault, it's Miga's fault for getting all emotional about unimportant bullstuff and deciding to alienate his friends to make some statement about people on the internet.

Yes i'm aware of that, It's completely his falt for being a prick. - I didn't mean it in that way, Blame torchlight 2.

Also it's totally worth noting that, I wasn't even ACTIVE on this forum while this was going on.

then why are you here :o

Because one does not simply leave the Blockland Forums

Also, I'd just like to go on record saying that Miga definitely does this, and when he sees this thread he's going to return just to argue his side.

Just watch.

I can see why he left. No offense, but the forums are a lot different now. I'm not sure if this is nostalgia or not, but there's not much intelligent discussion anymore. Lots of it is forum games, megatopics about alcohol or special interestes or my little pony, or topics that don't really serve a purpose. (would you forget the above user's avatar, list random stuff that nobody will read)

Whenever we talk about anything remotely related to religion, abortion, or marijuana, the topic explodes and gains 30 pages, then fizzles out. Whenever we can sustain our cool is only when everyone's on the same side. People are too harsh to eachother, when they could be a lot nicer. I've been trying to act less hotheaded, thinking people's opinions through. The forums are still pretty cool though, it's a neat little thing that comes with a lot of drama.

I liked 2008-2009. When I came back like a couple of years later, there were a lot of new people, more than usual, that tried too hard and just didn't seem right. But yeah I agree.

I think the "Don't care; don't post" rule is outrageous, considering the amount of topics that are made that are just asking to be flamed.

I'd say some people are too hesitant to argue against a drama thread because they think they will get banned for it.

The rule is about people making dismissive posts against drama threads, which is fair because there is no reason to post on a drama thread that does not matter. If you are arguing against the claims made in the drama thread, you aren't dismissing the thread.

Also, I'd just like to go on record saying that Miga definitely does this, and when he sees this thread he's going to return just to argue his side.

And then he sees your post and thinks rationally about doing so and decides not to

Or he just doesn't care and either A) doesn't check anymore, possibly removed it from his bookmarks even or B) knows better than coming back just to argue

the migration of a certain show's (which I'm not going to be mentioning because it doesn't deserve to even be said) fanbase

So damn True, its also been the cause of many Bans, Its also ruined the Music Section.
Ephi is doing a good job keeping that stuff out of RTB too.

I know that show has to dies in a year or two, and when it dies I will party forever and enjoy the internet the way before that piece of Mold entered it.

That's the best part though. I've set up a win-win situation.

If Miga decides not to post after reading what I wrote, I don't get to read his stuffty posts.

If Miga does decide to to post, I get to call him out for being a huge tool who alienated all his friends for minute bullstuff.
