Author Topic: Blockland computers?  (Read 3231 times)

If you wanted a working computer of some sort( Not some prints and bricks) for blockland, what would you want it to do?

Post what you want or might be cool down below, I'd love to hear what you think.

it'd be neat if it worked like ComputerCraft

I have no clue what Computercraft is, so while I look it up, tell me what it is.

I just finished looking up Computercraft, It looks awesome, and I'd love to see this in blockland, too!

More suggestions! Keep the thread alive with ideas!

axotole tried to make something like this, but failed, no big surprise

I saw some computers with working games and stuff on them.

OOOOhhh a pc thread!
This is my place!

I happen to be the co leader, and main developer of Comblock, Blockland Computing

I have two pc's in development, the first one being the AX90G Persona, which is nearing release. The second one, the AX67 Ignite is in the infancy of development, having just exited the build phase.

The AX90G Features 6 programs:
User Manual - Learn how to use it.
Preferences - Change it up! Change the external glow effect, and keyboard color to up to 5 colors each.
Rom Manager (for user-made rom disks) - Expand your blockland computing experience
MediKit, Player Manager - Change datablock, resize, and heal your player.
Music Player - Supports all default songs
Item Cache - All the default items, at your ease of access.

Also features QuikNav technology, which makes switching programs, and rom management a breeze, and a lovey boot animation!

Rom compartment has 8 slots.

Here's some Nud's.

AX90G Persona

AX67 Ignite

These things are real pieces of eventing quality, if i do say so myself.
The persona will have ~1,550 events upon release. The Ignite, being a pc made for rom-based games, will probably only be sporting around 700.

IS that everything you're working on?

I would like the ability to have a "eventing" pattern you can do as a notepad, similar to EventGUIPlus's save output but more user friendly and integrated in Blockland.

Me? Yes. The AX series is my individual project, I don't get any help from the clan in developing these.

We have a big clan project coming up soon, but school has been getting in the way lately and we haven't started it up yet.

Currently I've built a full VCE keyboard that recognises commands and can output custom messages to the player (in the chat area).

It's extremely fast and uses VCE string concatenation to form the keyboard entry variable. You can also create macros and it would even be possible to program keys from within the device to say such things as "HELLO WORLD" in less than a quarter of a second.

Oh and it shows the keyboard outputs using print bricks with each brick being a letter print.

You forgot that it's also super smexy.
