Author Topic: I support gay marriage.  (Read 7800 times)

I think I've gone over this with you before. If you mean stuff like holding hands and kissing you're wrong. If you mean acting flamboyantly and stereotypically gay, that's a different thing. There's a gay straight alliance club at my school and the three chairs are pretty different. They don't conform to an idea of masculinity or feminity really. They're just themselves. And ideally that's what everybody could be, but if it takes an uncommon loveuality just to find yourself then so be it I guess.
I want to join GSA, but then everyone will think I'm gay. :v
No?
I mean I don't want them to go around in public flaunting it. I don't like straight people doing it either so don't think that its because they're gay.
This is what I mean.
Ah, OK. I thought you were being a nutjob, which seemed out of character for you.

I'm okay with gays aslong as they're not flamboyant and overly "feminine". I've actually had some gay kid try to kiss me before, which is why i'm semi-homophobic.

No?

I don't really see the problem with people expressing themselves publicly.

But obviously you can go ahead and think that, straight couples or gay.

It's when you try to restrict one over the other is when you start stepping into the tyrannical stuff.

I believe all should be equal as long as they don't start flaunting who they are or act like they're above another.

Ok, that's even stupider.

That's called loveual harassment and has nothing to do with homoloveuality.

An overly aggressive woman could attempt the same thing, would you suddenly be semi-heterophobic? No?

Then go away.

Wow, good job. I've had straight people hit on me, I guess I should be semi-heterophobic. :/
Y'know, a man of Asian descent once insulted me. I guess I should be a little tribal towards Asians.

Yeah, I see no issue with self-expression. But I do see an issue with believing they're superior.

Making out, feeling up and cuddling in public is looked down upon (by adults mostly) for both genders.

Actually, I wouldn't like it either way. But yeah that was a little stupid.  :I

I know showing any emotion besides anger, happiness, or lust is pretty feminine in current times, but it shouldn't be. I'm also uncomfortable with showing emotion and stuff though. Gender roles suck. :(

The GSA at my school has baked goods during every meeting. The first meeting they had a rainbow cupcake platter. I will probably be joining :D
Also don't be afraid of what they thiiiink~

I still don't understand. Do you mean overly feminine? Or acting superior to heteroloveuals?

Agreed with everything you said

Depends on where you are. :P

Agreed, why is showing emotion "feminine"?

I'm only afraid what they think because they'd be riiiiiiiight. And then I'd have to tell my daaaaaaad.

An example would have to be racism on the superior thing.
White isn't better than anything, neither is black, Latino, Asian, or anything else.
It pisses me off when people act like they're cool because their a certain race. Here is an real life example:
>Standing in lunch line
>Black guy cuts ALL of lunch line up to the door to get food with the excuse "I'm black and we've been in the back of the line for years, its time we move up"

I mean anyone acting superior to anyone.

Showing emotion isn't feminine. Acting feminine is well...feminine.

racial superiority is a pretty big is a problem, also

Actually, I wouldn't like it either way.

Exactly. That's my point, is all.

There's no reason to be "afraid" of homoloveuals. I know several of them.

Hell, I'm dating a lesbian.

(I willmight explain that in some other topic).

Emotion is just emotion.
Everyone has it.
