Author Topic: How does your town indicate its noon?  (Read 3585 times)

Most towns take and indicate its noon through something and I was wondering how they do it at your town.

In my current town they would sound a siren on Saturdays, I can't hear them however because I'm so far out of town now.
My hometown would send out choppers at noon (they were actually "dope choppers" but they still indicated noon)

So how does your town let you know its noon?

So you guys don't have anything to indicate its noon?
Well then...

um, all the clocks that are set to the right time will show the time it is when it's noon

by the time being 12:00

we have Billy the Bell ringer run across the maize fields and through the cow pasture to ring the cow bell of freedom.

'murica yeehaw.

Bell at a nearby church makes 12 dongs.

Apparently my town is just weird since it has a tell tell sign of being noon. Of course I stopped noticing it after a year of it going off every Saturday. It got to the point that even when it was a real siren people would have to check to see if its just the noon bell or a tornado.

We have churches on every other corner but none of them chime at all :/
