Author Topic: Ragdoll physics on death  (Read 1360 times)

I was wondering if someone could make an add-on that when people died they would tumble and fall into a random pose like half life 2 physics. I know the tumble mod was crap on'd or whatever but I was thinking instead of turning the player into a vehicle on death it would turn them into a fake killed brick.

We're made of blocks. There are no attached limbs TO flail.

perhaps tumble then death?

We do have limbs to flail, they're just invisible, so it(if not impossible) would be hard to model, let alone code.

Exploding minifigs would be cool.

We could bring back the tumble death script that someone made have a while ago

Tumble was fail bin'd for a reason. That is why I was suggesting the player would fake kill like bricks instead of turning into vehicle on death.

the player would fake kill like bricks

This would be worse than "tumble on death" unless it was directly implemented into the engine (i.e. not an add-on).

Would require changes more complex than modders are capable of implementing.

Alright. I think that badspot should change the death animation of the player if he wants the game on greenlight. It probably doesn't matter but it makes the game look dated. So that's kinda why I wanted a new death animation

Not really. It'd just be extremely bad if done with what we can currently do.
