Like what kind of oldies?

Also I really love some video game soundtracks. A lot of them are just background noise but games like Spore are pretty touching musically imo. Spore's music is all spacey but peaceful and subtle at the same time. I don't know I just love it.

Classical: Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, all those classical-style Star Wars songs done by John Williams
Chiptune: Radix, Arachno, LHS, Mel O'Dee
Electronic: LapFox Trax, NemesisTheory, ParagonX9, everything on the Acceleracers soundtrack
Most smooth jazz
VG OST: Portal 1, Portal 2, VVVVVV, HL2, TF2, Republic Commando, Just Cause 1, Just Cause 2
TV OST: Doctor Who, Transformers Prime, Transformers G1, Transfromers Cybertron

who the forget listens to video game soundtracks outside of video games. weird loving people.

Lots of video game tracks are good. You are just bizzare and a Canadian.

You have obviously never played Bastion. I also like how you call my taste 'narrow' and 'elitist' when you are so quick to dismiss video game soundtracks. Kindly forget off.

Opera, musicals, movie soundtracks, anything like that.

Like this kind of Oldie. Things like this are generally my favorite. The sound is great, it has a certain type of beat and innocence and subtlety that modern songs lack. I can't stand modern popular music.
Regardless, it depends on the era. I listen to anything from the forties to the eighties but the genre varies.
40s: Jazz and Swing
50/60s: Pop, Rock, Crooners, Doo Wop, Psychedelic Rock, RnB, Motown
70s: Disco
80s: Pop

METAL.

you also seem to think that only metal is good

you people are old/brainwashed with the rest of the world.
Disturbed and other metal/rock is better than:
Pop
Reggae
R&B
Gospel
60s, 70s, 80s, 90s
Hip Hop
Rap
Children's Music.

and not noticing that "60s, 70s, 80s, 90s" is actually much better than a bunch of people screaming and yelling while using double drum pedals.
