What Program should I use for modeling?

If you already know Blender, then use that. Unless I'm interpretting that wrong...

If you don't know Blender, try it out anyways.

Blender = free and a lot more powerful than Milkshape

this is the problem with most people
they instantly get confused by the interface when in reality for blockland they're only going to be using like a quarter of the tools available

Do not fear all the buttons in blender, you won't use 90% of them. This is the main reason people don't use Blender, they think it looks scary. It's not scary once you learn the keybind controls. Blender is a great program. If you want to use Blender with blockland, I'd recommend getting version 2.49b(the exporter works with older versions, but I may not know what I'm talking about here.)
