The insane amount of loving forum games

I pulled these from the first two pages of the Off Topic board. These are all forum games or are threads that involve saying stuff like, "What makes you stuff at night" that usually involve 1-3 word replies for pages on end. This is getting way out of hand and it seems everyone and their mom is whoring to make the new "super popular forum game."

Good god just stop. I'm not singling out anyone specifically but rather I'm directing this toward the whole community. A few forum games are good but when it gets to the point where 40% of Off Topic is loving forum games that are usually poorly thought out/useless then we have a problem.

I see none in the last few days and its gotten so bad that I've taken notice

this stuff usually doesn't bother me but Off Topic has devolved into a cesspool of pointless threads completely void of any intellectual exchange

it's been like this for a few years now, it's nothing new. even though i dislike it as well, it won't stop unless this suddenly becomes bannable.

i don't care much anyways because it's pretty much what off topic was made for.

I wont disagree with, maybe, a more dedicated section for forum games, but definitely don't think they should just be made to go away

This is true but Off Topic used to be able to have a decent organized conversation about something like religion or foreign policy. I rarely see that anymore

I'm not saying we should get rid of them all, I'm saying that the community seems to be throwing them up every hour or so in some cheap attempt to get attention.
