I just crouch walked onto some mining equipment on the cliff by the entrance to the quarry on the right and used a sniper rifle, grenade launcher, and rocket launcher.
Also there is a fatman in the littlepond.

I had to use a Fatman in order to kill the legendary deathclaw and grab the unique grenade machine gun. I used Remanant power armor and several stealth boys while being level 40+ in hardcore mode normal difficulty.
I barely survived that cave.

On my energy weapon build, my gauss rifle can make quick work of deathclaws.

Yeah I usually use YCS 186 and since I have 100 points in every combat skill except unarmed I don't have that much problems with weapon selection.

speaking of unarmed, does anyone have a character that specializes in unarmed/melee? I just started one, and its one of my favorite playthroughs so far.

I learned to love melee combat in Old world blues because I lacked sufficent ammunition the entire damn time. Knock-knock is a very efficent and fun to use melee weapon I really recommend it next to Chance's knife. But if you want to go full melee combat you should try to get Oho Baby because that thing has sufficent armor entry and DPS.

Honest Hearts was a pretty fun experience because I couldn't grab all of my extreme high tier stuff as you have a limit of 100 pounds equipment.
I got US-army combat armor , a bowie knife (both from the Lonesome road addon ) , a 1st Recon beret , Shades ,  Lucky and This machine with me.
I killed all of the yao guais with "This machine". Even that boss thing got utterly destroyed by that epic rifle in a matter of seconds.

i've been playing new vegas a lot lately, just got to level 20 and cleared out vault 22

is vault 22 the plant one?

I hope you grabbed the unique laser rifle.

is vault 22 the plant one?
Yeah

I hope you grabbed the unique laser rifle.
Yeah
i hated vault 22 until I did a playthrough with a character that had high repair, because damn that elevator helps.

Fallout 3 has a better gameworld, New vegas' game world is dull.

And i don't like fallout 1 and 2 at all.

In new vegas, once you get the alien blaster and use the ammo glitch you're practically invincible

I like how Fallout New Vegas DLC's have some side story that mentions the other Courier.

I hope you grabbed the unique laser rifle.
