i like how you two apparently just shot at each other while we wrecked germany's stuff single-handed

The US joined World War II in 1941, by that time the war was already being fought for two years. The US didn't even join with the combat in mainland Europe willingly. Full scale combat was already taking place day after day, year after year for two years. Our supply lines were being crippled by German u-boats, the only way we could transport troops and supplies was by air. Limiting how much we could send to the primary conflict at any one time. Resources were spreading thin and moral of the troops was at a low on both sides.

Pearl Harbour was attacked by the Japanese in 1941, from there the US declared war on Japan due to the attack, soon after Riddler decalred war on the US; forcing them into the primary combat. This means that the US had a sizeable untouched military force of which to kick the already crippled axis to the ground.

Lets not also forget who also joined in the conflict at the same time? The Soviet Union, one of the most formidable military forces of it's time. The axis began their invasion of the USSR which was in the middle of winter. The national socialist's weren't prepared nor experienced to fight the USSR in a completely new environment to them. The USSR had the home advantage.

The national socialist's bit off more then they could chew, already crippled they continued to advance into an extremely dangerous situation. Being sandwiched between the US, Britain and the USSR on all fronts, three of the worlds most powerful super powers pounding at German lines? It was only a matter of time.

Why was this topic even made? So that the US could run around flaunting their massive erections? It's an ego trip, disregarding the facts of the situation to create conclusions. Yes the US military is very powerful, yes the British military is also very powerful. Were both in a time of economic decline, budget cuts are happening left right and centre. This is barely a time to judge ones superiority.

Americans often have no real depth of understanding about the rest of the world. The US media is very inward looking and perhaps does not allow the american public an fuller understanding of the world outside of its shores.

Like the Roman Empire, it is full of arrogance and pride. It believes that it holds the key to truth and that they know what is right for the rest of the world - that is what that bloody war in Iraq was all about. It believes that it has the right to invade countries which impinge upon its economic interests whilst funding some of the most tyrannical and undemocratic regimes in the world.

Yeah maybe so, I'm not arguing that - but being American and calling another country forgeted up? That takes some serious ignorance lol.
i'm agreeing with this
i've actually heard and i can confirm america is actually pretty screwed

nah i'm not called Patrick either

Russia? I'm pretty sure we sending weapons, planes, and tanks to Russia since their industrial capacity at the time was weakened. You know that lend-lease program where we gave weapons away while still being neutral.

Yea-no.
Your soldiers were clumsy forgetsticks(at first), and were getting their arses kicked, until 'ol George Washington straitened the army out, which the French got word of, and decided to join in to help out the Americans.
pls take a history class

ITT: most forum-goers dont pay attention to american history

jesus christ, i'm australian and even I knew that the US got their asses handed to them in the revolutionary war.

The only reason they got their treaty is because they became a massive nuisance and the UK was partially fighting france (which was a much larger threat than the US)

did the op just learn about the british empire?

did he somehow really not know about this from early elementary school when they teach about pilgrims and colonization?

That is true but now they're just loving up.
Also lets not forget how USA kicked their ass and destroyed their Navy (which was the best Navy in the world at the time) with a bunch of small boats and only partially trained men.
Gotta love America!

what? england burned our capital after it was evacuated because of overwhelming numbers no skill involved.

the us destroyed british troops at the battle of new orleans soon after, despite being greatly out numbered. Thanks to captain badass, andrew jackson
