Not exactly, he brings the point about overpopulation a bit too high in the post, but as Mr Jelly already stated, there are plenty of different variants of cancer and finding a universal cure is an immense challenge, you can't call it a cancer cure, it would have to be catered to a specific type of cancer. Curing the most common type of cancer would be a great achievement for mankind.

It's estimated that the world's population is not going to get much larger than 10 billion. Also by your logic it would make more sence to nuke africa because people in Africa have a much lower IQ than most people that get cancer (Richer countries are usually more threatened by cancer because of polution). Doing that would even raise the avarage IQ. Cancer is a horrible disease and we must fight it.

While encouraging the use of birth control methods (abortion, condoms, the pill, etc.) is probably the best way of keeping the population stable, there's no real way to make sure we don't overpopulate. And if there was, allowing people to suffer through disease sure as forget isn't how.
