So far you're throwing out that your Knife DM is different because;

• your colors are different
• it's better

I mistaked yours for every other person. If you were colorblind the build would be exactly the same. Different heighted platforms, big middle, big corners, small bridgeways.
It's all the same concept.
A DIFFERENT CONCEPT WOULD BE
say, a street with the ground removed so all you have is the buildings to swing from. This would be a semi-worthy knife TDM. Not platforms.

Pretty much, anything BUT platforms. Platforms are overrated and way to overused.

I'd enjoy it for a small time just because it's something different, but it'll get boring because there's no real objective other than knife someone.

the only thing on our minds at all when we create servers is what is currently most popular and how can i get more people then the next guy': thus, the server list is typically swamped by stuffty 're-imaginings' of the latest and greatest internet bullstuff, or, even worse, knife tdms and trench tdms

i mention these two types of TDM specifically because holy stuff they are the epitome of everything i hate about blockland deathmatch 'design'

This adds to the list of flat stuff. It doesn't matter if you COLORED IT and put the little platforms on slightly different levels and added music of all things. As a matter of fact, that makes it EVEN MORE TYPICAL.

That's because a lot of players are children with the attention spans of fruit flies.

I don't so much hate that it exists (more twits too busy to join good servers) but the fact that he even tries to make this sound original is a joke.

have to be the map. It could be more than that. For an example,
it can have a lot of people, and someone might want to play

your server is dedicated so thats a big factor

-What's the point of colored and decorated platforms?
Some people like it that way. I do, and it's
my server, so obviously I'm going to color and
decorate it.

-How are maps different?
Omg. Different bricks may be used in different ways,
the structure of the map can be different, maybe
even little options like adding arrows that fling you
across the map or launch you in the sky. I've also
been told that my map was set-up great. (I know for
a fact that about each and every one of you will
not believe that.)

-How can just the server make people want to join, and not the actual map?
Some people enjoy music, some people enjoy being
on servers that have many players, some people like the little commands
and things added to the server, and maybe if you're an
Administrator or such, you like helping adding more to
the server.

Um. The dedicated part doesn't really matter much.
At all. If you're map was better, then your server would
probably be more popular. (And once again, maybe it's
just your actual server that people don't like, not your
map.) Plus, this is in your opinion.
