I just put a shortcut to mass effect in steam and ran it that way and it worked fine

Wont even be able to play Darkspore tonight because I had it downloading in the background while my mother was on IMVU (not kidding).  IMVU crashed and she now refuses to let it download while she's on it because she blames the darkspore launcher downloading patch files in the background.
