A Phenom II. That is assuming that your computer is using a AM3 socket, you really need to give more details before you can get good help.
How would I figure out what socket?

How would I figure out what socket?
There are a few ways, but the easiest at the moment would be to tell us your current CPU type. Press winkey+r and type "dxdiag", then press run. When the DirectX diagnostics tool comes up, hit the "Save all information" button and send us the text file, it contains a lot of information about your hardware which we can use to determine some things for you.

Check your motherboard specs. But if you've got a 1.6 GHz CPU there is a pretty good chance you don't have any sort of modern socket.

I'd advise buying a whole new computer as Mulch said.

Or I'd advise building a new one while salvaging a few parts from the old one, which will result in a cheap, modern, and (hopefully) upgradeable computer.

Attached file.

All the Magic ISOs are from my bro. He always plays stupid games with those.
EDIT: It started out as a Windows Vista Basic, but when it stopped working, my father changed it into Windows 7 and fixed it.

$200 Budget for pc
$300 budget for keyboard

does not compute.

Your processor is so far out of date...

You need all new hardware if you're considering upgrading. Want me to find some parts for you?

Didn't say it was a budget. I just thought the $300 keyboard suited me, and that a $200 PC would work fine.

Suuuuuureeee......

...

You'd have a lot more money to spend toward a new computer that isn't absolute steaming alligator star fish droppings the size of a mouse if you just bought a keyboard that isn't probably more expensive than your current computer like a normal person.

and that a $200 PC would work fine.
I'm assuming you're trying to do gaming, since you wanted to get a 'gaming keyboard', so you'll probably want your budget to be a bit higher.

Which parts do I need the most?
Motherboard, CPU, PSU, RAM. You probably can save yourself the harddrive by taking out the one from your old computer. You'll also need a case, you might be able to just gut out everything from your old computer and put in new stuff, but you'll want to be sure that it has a microATX form factor.

If you want to do lots of gaming, just remember that with $100 you can easily upgrade the $300 build to have a half-decent graphics card.
