Perhaps the child should just not live with the mother and the mother has a less harsh sentence.

People who go to jail for 70+ years should just be sentenced for life because they will be old as forget, or will die before they get out anyways.

It stated in the article that she could apply at 30 years. Jail sentences normally aren't life unless it's murder or multiple counts of murder.
