Elephant Ear:

Deep-fried slabs of dough coated with copious amounts of cinnamon and sugar.

Funnel Cake:

Deep-fried cake of dough often topped with powdered sugar.

I went to the Yellow Springs Street Fair yesterday; while I didn't try the funnel cake I did have an elephant ear. Having, however, had funnel cakes before, I would say they're better than elephant ears. They're easier to eat and taste better.

And you can talk about funnel cakes and elephant ears too, if you want. Which one do you prefer?
