It's Menen!
No it's not, it's Alteration's original character Blenen.

Get your scope fixed, it looks like we're looking through a funhouse mirror.

Zoomzoomzoom!

Who is that little bastard?

You know you've seen him before. Perhaps in a dream? Or... you had a bird like him once...

Maybe you could get a better look if you switch to infrared.

Damn, Goldilocks moved... maybe there are-...

Oh no no no no no. No no.

Not him.

Dramatic Flash Back

Relative time: 346 years ago.

You are Inviator Daemon. A singular-dimensional child with a short temper.

Next to you is the scorched crater of what remains of your mother.

Some sort of pirate man is destroying your village and he seems very pleased with himself.

What do?

Confront him.

[translated from Latin]

: [Excuse me, sir, would you please not destroy my village?]

: i'm sorry, wwhat wwas that? i don't speak your taco language, boy

: [My village sir, she is on fire. You have killed my mother and my father. Spare me, I will do whatever you ask.]

The vengeful beast roosters his head slowly towards you and prepares his attack.

You stand in awe, the light almost blinding you.

: [Please, hateful one, I only ask that you spare me, I am but a child.]

He never turns his gaze, his eyes growing colder, being lost in the charge. The smile never once leaving his face.

: i came for wwhat wwas once mine. hhe took it from me and now i hhave it. you are in my wway.

Lost and alone, fearing for your life, you do the only thing you can do. You cry single tears down your ugly, scared face, soaking into your torn clothe. You can only mutter one word.

: [Please.]

But, something stops the cruel man. Perhaps its your tears or perhaps something else. Whatever the reason, the man stops his attempt to murder you. His smile disappears for a fraction of a second. But it's not long before it's back, as terrifying as ever.

: you're lucky, kid. the man upstairs is looking out for you. or is hhe downstairs? at this point wwe don't even remember. i've got something to show you, boy. something i'm sure you'll enjoy. hhave you seen the place they keep the meatbags? oh yes, hhave you. but not yet. today i show you wwhat you needed to see.

: hhold still, this might hhurt a lot.

And with a flash of light you're gone.

: hhere we are, paco.

: now, you're just the fresh meat i needed to feed the globlins and get that bird.

: perfect, they're hhere...

: Oi, what 'ave we got 'ere? Couple of wankers in a forest?

: you distract them and let them eat you (glutens love demon fleshies)... i'll get the bird and then wwe'll all go out for tea... wwell, you wwon't, but the grabasslins and i wwill...

: Hey now!? Where'd your mate go? I 'ave 'alf a mind to-... *sniff* oooh, I sees now. You're a demon boy. Delicious.

Then you see what the monster had been after. In his dirty hands was the only thing you now have left of your father. His Diabolus' Clavis.

His Devil's Key.

Your father, king of the Under and Ambassador to the Void, he ruled Brimstone Blight (your home) with a fist as powerful as the Harbinger's himself.

A Devil's Key could be used for masterful control over the Ethereal. The Void itself could be ripped apart along with the Corporeal Realm to create a Devil's Gate; a doorway between the dimensions. It also could open any Demon lock, and as it just so happened, the one on that birdcage was one.

No wonder this beast raided your village and took you with him. He wasn't sparing you, he was using you as bait. He destroyed an entire civilization for one petty object. The beast could travel between the worlds at his own will, he needed no Devil's Gate. He simply wanted a bird.

Well, the thing has underestimated you. Because while it's true you don't speak Common, you know one word that will be this creature's demise.

You know a word that echoes throughout the Void and the day-o-sphere.

A word that brings the downfall of cities and the end of order and the realm of chaos. Only this time it will be at his own mercy.

For you know one word in Common.

You know his name.

[Behind you! It's] Tingles!

: What? Tingles? Where? Oi, I see you what you're up to, you bloody demigod.

: oh....

: oh dear...
