Author Topic: Anti-Abortion protest at my school  (Read 6998 times)

People should be allowed to have their own opinions. Freedom of speech is one of our rights, no? I don't see anything wrong with their protest.

I don't know if this is exactly general to most high schools, or just mine.

But at my school most of the kids believe in what their parents have said/taught them.  In other words, if their parent was a Republican, they would most likely be a Republican.

So when it comes down to arguments between each other due to people getting radical about what they 'believe', typically neither side knows a single stuff about what they're saying.

I actually find it amusing to watch them argue about real social and political issues when they don't know what politics even is

I never said there was anything wrong with the protest, I just don't support their views and they can't take the fact that I had an opinion too.

It annoys me when people are like that.

It seems to me you were stuffting on their opinion, not voicing it. Not to mention you're kinda ranting about it because you can't seem to take theirs.

"Hey kids, whatever your parents teach you, don't believe it it!"

I read it and said out loud "This is ridiculous" and said "What if you were raped? Would you still want that child? Or if it was incest?"

Not really. He countered them and the chick gave him the finger and cried.

No problem. Thanks for not being a handicap and turning this into an argument.

I support abortion.
I dislike the terms "Pro-choice" and "Pro-life" because they try to portray eachother in a negative light

pro-life people are stupid.

pro-life people are stupid.
and here we go with "other people's opinions are stupid" and "band wagoner" train.

pro-life people are stupid.
I agree with this only because they're trying to tell other people what to do with their babies.
In contrast to pro-choice people, they're basically saying "forget your freedom and ability to make decisions"

"Hey kids, whatever your parents teach you, don't believe it it!"
He's just saying it's dumb to spout stuff that your parents said without questioning or understanding it at all. Way to be ignorant.

their opinion is their opinion. good4them they want humans to produce and not use condoms and have rape victims carry their baby out full term. that's a lovely opinion but just about very person who is pro-life will stuff down your neck over it.
