Author Topic: Class Ring.  (Read 6129 times)

Rings that are more than just a simply band with maybe a small jewel look silly to me. That thing is way over the top.
It's not as bad as it looks.

You get the right size.
So you do wear it on two fingers? Look at it, it doesn't look like something you wear on one finger. Does it come apart?

You wear it on 1 finger and it doesn't come apart. I've seen enough to know.
They aren't heavy, I've held some of the big ass ones before.

I find gold to be overpriced and ugly. Silver or stainless steel is where it's at. Elegant and timeless.

Tell that to everybody who spent money of jewelry ever. I'm not saying that jewelry isn't pointless for anything other than sentimental value, but people spend money on jewelry because of said sentimental value.
Who finds his high school years to be so memorable that he needs to buy an expensive ring?

Class rings are a waste, the people who sell them are also losers.

You will not believe how useful these things are when getting into a college around here.

I love the color of stainless steel/silver. I don't think gold has the same luster as those 2.

Haha, silver tarnishes much more easily than gold. Not so "timeless" now!

But actually, I agree. Silvery metals look far better than golden ones.

have you seriously never seen large rings like this before? they are generally what mens rings are, a good example of these rings are super bowl and other sports rings.

It's like the difference between a silver circlet and a gold circlet.
The silver one looks all world-weary and badass, the gold one just looks like "I have money and you don't".

since at least one person in this thread is completely baffled as to what these look like I took a low-res picture of mine instead of just googling it for some reason

only about half as expensive as OP's IIRC and I do like how it looks but a few years down the road it feels like a relatively bad choice in the long run

I rarely wear it (in fact I had to go fish it out of the pocket of a pair of dress pants to take the picture, probably not the best place for an expensive ring) but it's nice to have when dressing up for a special occasion

never give your class ring to a girl for her to wear. They always lose them.

Personal experience?

i was going to get the fake gold but decided it looked bad with my birth stone

For $250. You are dumb. Its a ring. Honestly.
would you say the same thing about a wedding/engagement ring?
