Author Topic: Argue over the superior religion / belief  (Read 18311 times)

Obama, all the way. He's the lesser of two evils, really. If Mitt Romney wins this election I'm sure I'll have a great time flying to England to become a citizen of a country that wouldn't elect an intolerant, radical, hypocritical, flip-flopping twat as their leader.

There's still no proof for or against anything. No proof doesn't prove anything.
If something doesn't have proof or any sort of sight or record of it, it doesn't exist. This is a simple notion that only seems changed for religious arguments, where the aspect of "proof against it" is introduced.

Although since there are more then a thousand different deities, all using the same proof, I think we can assume they cannot all be true. They can, however, all be false.

Is it really so loving important that you prove your own religious views as true (which I'm assuming some experts have tried to do and failed) that you ignore the original purpose of this thread?
You derailed it, crashed it through the side of a mountain, threw it into a river, sailed it to the ocean, bombed it, and crashed it into an undersea orphanage.
God damn.
hey, this isn't your gosh darn thread. worry about lemons instead.

Again, could you read further into the statement before posting?
Again? Has this happened before?

The lack of proof is the definition of an impossibility, actually.
no it's not

However, it's contestable and otherwise dynamic impossibility.
Meaning it's not an impossibility. There are no sort-of-impossiblities. Either it's impossible or it isn't.

What I stated further is absolute impossibility, and cannot be refuted.
I'm not sure what you're referring to.

If something doesn't have proof or any sort of sight or record of it, it doesn't exist. This is a simple notion
and not an actual fact.

According to current knowledge, something which doesn't contain plausible evidence is impossible.  A missing variable, if you will.  However, once again, that initial argument wasn't the intent of my post.  You seem to have ignored the rest of it, a third time.

However, once again, going beyond reason, let's say they didn't need proof.  The original testament displays depictions of knowledge which were widely accepted at the time (sun revolving around the earth, etc).  We later found out this wasn't true, and, in turn, the book was changed (new testament) to adapt to modern day HUMAN knowledge.  If God created us and the universe, wouldn't he have known about the universe before his creations did?  This is one of many examples of the book and its presenters contradicting their original viewpoints.

According to current knowledge, something which doesn't contain plausible evidence is impossible.
But that's wrong! You can't know something by not knowing!

However, once again, that initial argument wasn't the intent of my post.  You seem to have ignored the rest of it, a third time.
You're such a cunt for no reason. I'm not missing anything. The bible is irrelevant.

No, really, the bible is irrelevant when it comes to gods existing or not. It's a book written by humans. Irrelevant.

But that's wrong! You can't know something by not knowing!
You're such a cunt, jeez. Anyway, the bible is irrelevant.

No, really, the bible is irrelevant when it comes to gods existing or not. It's a book written by humans. Irrelevant.
No, it isn't.  It's like saying there can be an answer to a>b>a, but we just can't figure it out.  It's a mathematical impossibility.

If someone uses it as a source to define the existence of their god, then it is.  The god depicted in the bible isn't true, and that's what I'm stating.

No, but it's mine, and if the religion stuff doesn't stop I'm gonna just change the title to "Idiots raging over whos religion is right"
For the love of ________, drop the religion stuff, focus on POLITICS and FACTS

FACTS
Which I've provided...?

Alright, though.  In reference to politics, the fact that Romney so heavily relies on his religious views to try and gain supporters is loving pathetic.  He's gross.

I'm voting for Obamney

Add Bamitt Obamney to the poll right now.

No stuff. This has nothing to do with atheism. Go back to the post in which you said atheism has flaws and punch yourself in the face.
