Author Topic: Japan Radiation - Cover up  (Read 1705 times)

So i'm doing a report on the destruction and aftermath of the fukushima nuclear plant in Japan, and i've noticed something interesting.

Have any of you noticed how after a few weeks of the meltdown, the media completely stopped coverage of the disaster? I'm not sure if this is just normal, or the government's trying to hide that our coastline is contaminated with radiation.

There's nothing. They tried to convince the general population we're safe, and then shut down.

Can anyone explain this?

HOLY loving stuff
IT'S A loving COVERUP

Well, I read on Cracked or somewhere that none of the workers who were expected to die actually died, so maybe it is safe.

Either this is a crazy loving coincidence or the government deleted that page that contained a documented fact that they had tried to cover up.

the fukishima issue is way worse then chernobyl and its still far from over.

but for some odd reason no one is talking about it lol

This is why i think it's a cover up - but..

I live like 2 miles from the coast. Fuuuu-

Not surprised seeing it's the government.

I'm really skeptical about this especially with sources like these but ok.
It is the government.

And there's nothing we can do about it, except move to god damn switzerland.

What cover up?

Nope.

The WHO report said that the lifetime dose in Fukushima was expected to be lower than that among people exposed after the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
"The experience of the Chernobyl accident was that about 30% of the lifetime dose was delivered during the first year and about 70% during the first 15 years," it said.

There is still small patches of radiation in Chernobyl 30+ years after it happened, Where as Fukushima beach was reopened in july, Not "Everybody run the forget away and never come back"

Erm what. That isn't true.

Bisjac likes to blow events like this out of proportion as if there's some underlying conspiracy.  No idea if he's trolling or not at this point.
