The only games you should ever use cheats on are open world games like GTA or Saints Row, even Mercenaries. Not games with a leveling system, it ruins the fun.

After beating Mercs 1 i cheated like crazy, that game has hilarious cheats. A nuke launcher and an airstrike launcher.
