Author Topic: Can you hook a ps1 to a dell monitor?  (Read 2038 times)

Hey guys, i was consedring getting a ps1 with my b day money in a couple of days and i was wondering if there was any way to hook it up to a computer monitor that doesn't have any of the color things. I'ce really got out of my tech savy-ness in the last year and could really use your advice. Reply whenver you can, thanks.

Not sure, emulators are sketchy but then again he owns the games so...

I would suggest getting a PS2 instead. Way more games, doesn't cost much more, and plays PS1 games. You would still need that adapter though.

The good thing about that adapter is it should work for any console with an RCA lead and any VGA monitor, if you also get a VGA to DVI/HDMI then you could use it with newer monitors as well.
And yeah, a Ps2 would be a better buy as Dkamm said

Running PS1/X discs which you own in a CD drive on a PC is not piracy, it's just saving money.

You might as well get a PS2. It's more expensive new, but you can get pre-owned ones for $15, although it's up to you if you trust a price that low :cookieMonster:
