Some gradient skies and normal ones from TF2 would be really cool, i'm suprised there haven't popped up yet cause they're pretty neat:

i'd make them myself but i have no idea how to :(

those gradients are from tf2 i think

Solid color sky and colored fog works fine in my opinion.

fog and solid colours does not give the same effect as a gradient sky. a gradient sky would have a much smoother transition without having low fog or any at all.

I was going to port the Unknown Map map to v21. Maybe I'll make more gradient skies as well.

I'm pretty sure there are at least two Unknown Maps already.

as far as i know none have been ported yet for v21.

though isn't a day/night cycle the same thing? just as an overlay?

the day cycle just changes the fog and sky colour and the transition isn't as smooth as a gradient sky

I actually made a TF2 skybox pack. Its not really done and it has almost all the skies in it. But theres a little issue with the bottom half so as long as you don't has an invisible floor it'd look fine. If you want it PM me. I'll eventually release it though once I mess with the lighting on each one more.
