Corporate lobbying is political prostitution. You give a congressman enough money per month and he'll represent your view in Congress for as long as the checks roll in. It needs to be illegal because it lets corporate America be in charge of all the big decisions rather than the people.

Example: SOPA would have never even made it to the table if the RIAA at their buds hadn't shovelled suitcases full of bearer bonds at Congress.

This so much. Technically bribery is illegal, but the loophole that allows for "selective lobbying" wasn't fixed in time and now congress at large is too corrupt to fix it. Not every congressman is corrupt, but from what I have seen, the majority of them are.

Exactly. So much so that if a bill was proposed to illegalize lobbying it would never pass because all the lobbyists would just lobby against it. The irony is disgusting.

Religion isn't just bad because of its sleazy political moves. It hinders human progress. Thousands and thousands of years ago, a cave man had no idea where things came from, so invented the "invisible sky man" to explain it.

In perspective:
600,000 years ago. The Stone Age. Cavemen think the invisible sky spirit made everything.

2012. Modern day. Creationists claim the invisible sky spirit made everything.

It's absolutely shameful. And what's behind it? Christianity. Organized religion at its finest. Holding back human progress and spawning hatred and intolerance. Both the kool kids klub and Westboro Baptist Church operate on its fundamentals.

If there is one thing that must disappear in order to fix what's wrong with this world, it's religion.
