On my server we discussed this. He scoffed at the suggestion his servers would be similar to Kalphiters in terms of speed (joking it would be incomparably better in every way) when I asked if they would be "about the same 250 ping I get from Kalphs". He suggested it would be the same or better.

I told you the ping would be slightly worse for you due to increased topological distance.

We still have an outstanding issue with a transit link to our datacenter and we're literally 12 hours past recovering from major outages at all peered POPs. Any issues now relating to response time or stability shouldn't linger for much longer.

It's temperamental at the moment. As I say we're still 1 transit link down so the others will be fairly congested, allow time for the network to heal.

Its down to 260 - 270 with Ephialtes and I on the server.

Definitely all over the place. I guess that makes sense then.

270 is what I expect from NZ tbh, hopefully it will stay like that. Would be useful for me if you ran a traceroute (http://www.mediacollege.com/internet/troubleshooter/traceroute.html) to ny01.hosting.returntoblocklan d.com and PM'd me a screenshot of the output.

300 - 400 is actually playable

You don't notice lag unless you are in a DM, where reflexes are made void.

500 is where is starts to spike.

Once my internet was loving up and my ping was 935 in TF2. Needless to say it was unplayable

I was talking to my mom buying this once it's finished, but she told me until there's a definite price she's not gonna say anything
