How's the testing going so far? Any report for us outsiders to keep us juiced up...?

It's going really well - we've spotted a few issues which are now fixed thanks to the unexpected breakages related to the hurricane but on the whole everything's really stable and Barnabas has been enjoying using the interface very much.

Service restored at Equinix NY4 IBX which has brought XO back online. Service should be stable for everyone now.

Possibly testing with Trigun's duelling server soon if he sorts his stuff.
Oh nice, at least you're testing with an awesome server.

Oh it's this post again.
This is the kind of post that would get you banned on other forums. Badspot seriously needs to lock down on terrible posts like this.

I can't wait until this week, On Friday. I will pay for this. I want 6 month and I am not sure how much cost for 6 month.

at least $36

If Ephialtes is using Lub's hosting right now I'm a little meh about it.

The ping is 399 whereas Kalphiter's services give me about 250. Thats OK but not great.

is Aludanes server on Kalph's?

Yes
it's pretty fast, Barns in kinda fast but not as fast

confuddled

The ping totally depends on where you live though and how fast your internet is. This cannot be blamed on RTB's Dedi server considering I used to have really slow ping on all of Kalphiter's servers until I got fibre optic. (Fibre optic giving me 50mb/s download and upload, friends!!)

But yeah, you shouldn't totally judge the server dependant on the ping. Lub is also going to give us an option to buy a server in Germany which would be useful for those dedicated servers which'll reach around them people who are close to the data center.

The ping is totally a matter of where you live and how powerful your internet actually is.

Ping may be relative to everyone, but I can find an acceptable average from my position relative to servers worldwide. For me based on Blocklanders hosting:

100<  National Locality
200   Good International Server
300    Average USA
400+  UK
500+ Poor Server

Even if Lub neglects my corner of the world, 300 - 350 or so would be expected for an average speed. Closing in on 400 isn't impressive especially with all this promise of it being so great.

Promise of what exactly?

I also got 500+ on Kalphiter's servers the most of the time and I live in the UK, it wasn't a problem my side either. The master server said it had 120-150 ping and whenever I joined, I got 500+. I don't think this is a matter of Lub's server, it totally depends on the power of the person's network.

Just to note, my friends who are local to me also had the same ping rate in the server, the radius of where my friends live are 10 or less miles. Surely it's not my own network's problem.

The "promise" being Lub has suggested this will be just as good if not better in terms of ping.

On my server we discussed this. He scoffed at the suggestion his servers would be similar to Kalphiters in terms of speed (joking it would be incomparably better in every way) when I asked if they would be "about the same 250 ping I get from Kalphs". He suggested it would be the same or better.
