So much for 100% uptime, eh lub?
The network went down for about 1 second whilst BGP rerouted to take account of a dropped link to a transit provider (XO), further issues were encountered when multiple POPs that our DC directly peer with lost power and didn't failover to their backup generators, leading to further problems with transit links. AFAIK we've lost AboveNet and XO transit and the server is still up and functional via other providers, I just don't seem to get routed by them. All of these issues are out mine and my providers hands.

Please think before you try and comment on things you so blatantly don't understand.

Oh it's this post again.

I'm gonna go ahead and give you a clue regarding why you see that post so often ... It's because you don't think before you try and comment on things you so blatantly don't understand. You barrel in here and try and cause conflict without understanding the situation at all, and then you end up looking like an idiot. I don't know how you consistently manage to shame yourself without ever feeling embarrassment.

Oh it's this post again.

Quality post dude. Try to actually add something constructive to the case.

It's the post where I explain your mistake without calling you an idiot. I'll be less helpful and more dismissive of you as an ignorant fool in the future, thanks for making the decision for me.

Ok. Don't claim 100% uptime, even professional hosts don't ever claim this because I'm sure you are aware that is isn't possible.

Yes, but it's that comment at the end which blatantly is designed to call people idiots.

He was calling you ignorant

Please show me where I claimed the service would have 100% uptime. I've used 3rd party services to show the network has had 100% uptime for the last 6 months, but I never said anything about the future. Claiming 100% uptime and offering a SLA is a perfectly acceptable thing to do that many professional hosts do, do you have a problem with that or do you not understand what an SLA is either?

this downtime is because of sandy, right?

Yeah.

Equinix NY9 IBX back online, this brings public and private peering back up and restores AboveNet, server should be accessible now.

Here's the post where Lub specifically claims that he never promised 100% uptime.

So uh, stop it people. Plus, he hasn't started his service yet so I'm not sure what the deal is anyways.

So you are now going to continue testing?

So you are now going to continue testing?
Assuming everything continues to be stable through tonight, yeah.

Are people really bitching over the 100% thing, that actually Lub never strictly said? Extremely trivial. As long as its a reliable host there is no issue.

I'm all for scrutinizing this host but I'd rather the ACTUAL problems aren't drowned out by droning on about stupid things.

Just waiting for a release now. Hurryy.

Service restored at Equinix NY4 IBX which has brought XO back online. Service should be stable for everyone now.

Possibly testing with Trigun's duelling server soon if he sorts his stuff.
