Oh stop nitpicking. There's nothing wrong with zipping.
Pretty much that

HTTP-level compression is only for bandwidth savings. That doesn't save on storage, and if they keep every log they're going to damn well need to.
Also:
That aliasing.
Has nothing to do with the hosting service itself; could easily be done for any server by scraping the master server.
"Mgmt".
Oh, and this is supposed to be a valid alternative to eval? Is this a bad joke?
Why is this only available as a zip?
I'm interested in how you're planning on keeping the control add-on loaded between gamemode changes.
The fact that you even brought this up indicates that you don't actually have a point, not to mention the game itself isn't even anti-aliased natively.

Just because it's not exclusively to do with the service doesn't make it less convenient or desirable. Are you seriously complaining about added value?

Writing "Management" in the same font as the other headings would make it require more space, and if you can't work out that "Mgmt" means Management I honestly don't think you should be running a server.

Eval in chat is only truly useful to a scripter, which funnily enough most people aren't. Not to mention that you're pointing this out on a permissions management page, which really is comparing apples and oranges - eval is giving a person unrestricted access to do literally anything, whether it's management, loving with players or just plain out crashing the server. This is to alleviate the need to do that at all - if you want someone to be able to configure the server's settings, you can allow them to do that without having to trust them not to blow up your server. Which is good, because frankly I only trust myself that much five days a week - let alone any other person in this handicapped clusterforget we call a community.

And RTB already has a lot of special deals with Blockland, it's really not that far-fetched of an idea to say that it'd be integrated into the RTB zip on the servers if not part of the public RTB build.

Frankly I think you've been blinded by all that "But it's Luuuuuuub!"

Yes, he's a richard, deal with it. He is certainly not the meanest person in this community, and at least he contributes while he's being an starfish. Every time he's criticized Kalphiter's service for being bad, it's been because the service is literally loving bad - it adds no value whatsoever. You are literally paying for someone else to host the server, and nothing else - if that's what you want, fine, but plenty of people want more - easier tools to manage the server, proper payment methods and various other things Lub's brought up. On the few times I've actually strayed into that thread, I've actually found no reason to disagree with any of Lub's criticisms, though I won't dispute he could have worded them more politely. And so far, I've seen no reason to believe anyone who defends Kalphiter knows what they're talking about with regards to hosting services (and in fact, very little reason to believe Kalphiter does either).

Sweet! Looks really comfortable and easy to use.

Were you just waiting for something like Kalphiter's downtime yesterday as the cue to post this?  :cookieMonster:

This looks pretty awesome! If this gets even better in the future, this could become really good. :)

dontcare 4 free has always been really dumb and nitpicky. what a turnoff lol.

I would really liked to see an external program for use with the console for the server, like Kalphiter's. It would be more useful for me and surely would be useful for other people for a quick start up and shut down, but this program would go along the same design as the website on the original post. Just a thought. So far though Rub it looks pretty sick, such an improvement from when I first saw it.

An external program is absolutely a possibility, there are plans to add in-game server control functionality too. The platform has been written in such a way that it'd be incredibly trivial to do.

Sound.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to spend money on at least two of these.

Nice job Lub! See's now you weren't saying absolute stuff.

This is really, really nice!

That feature would be awesome. :)

Finally this is coming out, looks easy to use.

I have been wanted something like this program for a long time. I can't wait.
