Why are you having such a fit over using zip instead of gzip? Such a trivial thing lol.
Because:
  • It shows that you don't really care
  • There is no reason for using zip for this
  • gzip can be viewed directly within the browser, zip has to be saved and extracted first (two extra steps for what should be a 1-click process)

Pretty sure zip files aren't gonna confuse anyone running a dedicated Blockland Server.
Annoy, not confuse.

I really don't understand why he's freaking out over this. It's incredibly common to compress logs on a file system because they get large and numerous. What's your problem with us trying to save disk space? Please present a good argument to store potentially years of log data in an uncompressed format please.
There is a right way to compress logs, and a wrong way to compress logs.

It will have everything he has, but it's too early to say what else I'll have.

How are you going to achieve a competitive advantage if you're constantly playing catch up with the big time service?

Honestly, I really doubt he's going to be able to add features more quickly than me.

I don't think you understand the only way to lose is to give up; you probably never worked in a competitive environment for you to have learned that.

All those thousands of lines of code and financial commitment and I don't care because I used zip instead of gzip, ok then!

this line is precious coming from an autistic boy who has never held a job

It's like that Achilles and the Tortoise story that totally proves a fast guy can't catch up with a slow tortoise when the tortoise is given a head start, and Lub is like the fast guy and Kalphiter is the guy taking it slow and steady (which is also a definite way to win a race) except Lub is currently ahead of Kalphiter so the runner starts ahead of the tortoise and because the roles are switched that means the tortoise will certainly overtake Achilles and therefore Kalphiter is gonna win no matter what.

Lojik, man.

Maybe you missed the bit where I'm writing this service too lol. Already accomplished far more in about 4 months than you have in two years because apparently it took having a competitor to force you to care about your clients?

Is Null still nit-picking about the zip compression? Oh my loving god.

He has a valid point, it just wasn't presented very well and I've only just got what he meant. We'll change it.

Never worked in a competitive market? RTB vs tbm, aio, and the 9 billion other mods of the time. RTB won and will probably win again.

You think TBM was competition?
...lol

tbm was horrible as forget. It literally tried to turn blockland into a different game. It was never any competition.

I forgot what TBM stands for...

Aio and the 9 billion other mods. Also a lot of people begged badspot for TBM to stay which is why he banned people more mentioning it.
