Didn't ephialtes say he's fixing that for the release of this service? Maybe you should shut up.

Please quote him on that.

Not really sure. I think he did, could very well be wrong

Nah, Ephi won't fix it because the only person who's affected by it is Kalphiter.

...yeah that's great logic there. A simple thing to fix that would make things better for server hosters, including Ephialtes.

I assume since RTB itself is the only competition you have they'll probably fix it for themselves or program in an autoupdater to the site firmware itself, so every new update they just have to click a button and it updates on all the servers. You could do the same, you know.

A regular player hosting a server can just load their dedicated copy in non-dedicated mode to get updates. If they don't have the access to do that, it comes down to the server hoster to deal with that. Automating the update process would have been seriously easy - but I guess you'd just rather blame your own inability on someone else.
Covered this already

Yeah, there's a button to shutdown your server and have it update to the latest revision of Blockland. RTB will also be deployed to all servers automatically if there's an update.

That's how things are done when you run a professional dedicated hosting service. Take notes, Kalphiter!

You should have an option to do it automatically. This would be useful if the person is away for a long period of time.
But also have an option to auto save and auto load of course.

If this is ever made, it should be made sure that:

A. There is a manual override.
B. People on the server get notifications in time.

Can clients using this service opt out from running RTB on their server? Is it optional?

I'm sure they wouldn't force you to run the RTB add-on.

It can be disabled via the interface but it is installed and enabled by default.

I think that's probably overkill unless the update breaks networking or something - but even then they can just give a user access to their server to update it if they're away.
