get some ssd under 50 dollars (your remains) large enough to hold the OS, then put all your other stuff on the hdd.
How big is w7?
also what speeds wouldn't be affected by ssd?

Also I just realized haf 912 doesn't have front panel usb 3.0. w/e. won't be using those.
no it's not, I put the Samsung spinpoint f3 you have the stagnate barracuda, and the spinpoint is way more reliable than the seagate
oh wait. you're right. woops. i'll consider it i guess. i mean after the newegg sale ends it's gonna be $20 more. if i have $20 extra in budget i'll throw it in at the end.
i never even said it will make your computer faster, stupid, it will cut your electricity bill by a few dollars and make your PC more energy efficient.
i don't pay the energy bill. don't really care.

well you should start preparing for your future life!

A 60GB is fairly enough but as soon as you install other crap on C:/ you'll run into some problems

i will have moved on from my current motherboard assuming i even have this computer when i'm 18. srsly.

What problems?

I removed the cooler. I don't plan on overclocking so there's really no point. Now we have $80 free. If I don't get any ideas it's going to be spent on a new HDD and an SSD probably.

The problem of having a 100% full C:/
Well since I've got $80 now maybe I can get a bit more than 60gb.

What problems?
You'll run out of room pretty quickly, so you'll have to make sure you save everything you can on the storage hard drive. Just use the SSD for the OS, startup programs, and maybe a game you play frequently (It will load faster).

I suppose. I can't afford more than 64gb SSD. Unless I cut down on the graphics card. But why would I do that for something optional?

I already mentioned this in a bunch of other computer threads but if you live near a store called Microcenter, they will literally sell everything for a stuffload cheaper. The 3570k @ Microcenter is $189 (even though the newegg one is $199, it will only last until 10/26). Total savings would be around $200-$250.

other than that though, maybe you should downgrade your videocard to a gtx 660ti and get a better mobo+ case?

oh stuff. you're right. but it's the 3570k. would that change anything? i know they're identical in performance

90 gb is still kind of inadequate.  An ssd will not noticeably affect your game performance. SSD's are designed for things like photoshop and loading up windows not for video games. I think a 7200 RPM HDD would be better.
unless of course you have little games.

Why not AMD?

Though I shouldn't be talking, I only have the intel celeron D processor.

AMD tends to make unreliable processors.

Someone found me a 120gb SSD. Check OP I'm updating it now.

The question still stands; do I need a better mobo/case? Also feel free to offer Z77s now because supposedly when bundled with my processor on microcenter they're 50$ off.
