Author Topic: Does Blockand can port to new torque engine?  (Read 1890 times)

Read title.
I want know about it. If not. Badspot won't re-write script. It would take 2 or 3 year to finish on new torque engine. What if Badspot want other software engine for blockland would be much better?

An engine switch is completely possible in theory, but it will never happen.

Why do people want to switch to a new engine anyways? the one we have now is fine for me.

Reality check:  I worked for garage games for a year.  Kompressor was the Torque technologies director for like 5 years.  We both think "upgrading" to Torque3D is a bad idea.

Read my post at bottom. sorry for double post.

See:
Tons of recoding.
Blockland doesn't use the same exact engine it's used since it started.
It's been through years of changes.
Switching to a new engine would mean makes all these changes again.

Did Badspot gave up for this?

no. he thinks its a terrible idea.

Did Badspot gave up for this?
No, he said it won't be worth it to upgrade.
