that's not true at all. my idea in and of itself is a way to get a value without counting bricks. players suggest a value of the build. the value is then averaged and the owner earns a dividend of this value.

> I hate the builder
> I'm voting for a low value out of spite

or

> I'm friends with the builder
> I'm voting for the highest value out of friendship

i already suggested the removal of outliers and averaging of the value (edit: plus i suggested an elected player council AND admin approval, added levels of protection)

so what else have you got

Averaging bogus values won't really prevent imbalance.

A player council is a nice idea, though I think its a step too far. Perhaps a single figure, like in that building mod Wallet made (not RoB).

I'm not sure what a council could do with property value. Are you suggesting a board of people do the value? Or anyone can vote?

no, but averaging and removing outliers brings it closer to an appraised value of QUALITY than brick count will.

that's the whole base of this idea. brick count doesn't reflect quality, and quality is what you want. using brick count means that people with either big-high-quality, or big-low-quality builds get rewarded the most - that leaves people with small-high-quality builds out of the picture.

having a single figure is too much power for a single person, they'd go power mad (or even if they didn't, it's easier for people to get angry when there's been a single person who has rated their build badly as opposed to a number of people)

as for the council, i'm suggesting either, both would have their ups and downs. or maybe even a combination of the two, player voting with a council to approve/ amend the value (within a limited amount). I just think having a council of some sort included adds a layer of verification AND creates a great platform for RP (vote 1 boltster)

this is all based on the premise that you want to encourage and reward high quality builds. if for whatever handicapped reason, that ISN'T the aim, just let me know and i'll take my ideas elsewhere

Use BOTH.

Amount of bricks AND player votes would factor in. Also you could factor in how many unique players have stepped on the build as well.

Aludane is working on a separate script that gives players earning based on unique players visiting the build (its far from being done, I think it might have been abandoned).

So it might be a possible way to add value based on "commercial traffic" yeah. That makes more sense to me.

so what about replying to mine

Basically cityRP minus a lot of features.

This isn't the message I expected to see you post shortly after your perma-ban for using spam scripts in chat and attempting to frame other players.

But really it's just a freebuild with money

VCE is seriously broken.

onActivate > Self > VCE_ifValue > <var:cl:bl_id> == 10334 1 1
onVariableTrue > Client > CenterPrint > Sup 1

Worked fine yesterday.

Edit: What. Now VCE works. I swear it didn't work the first few minutes after I spawned.

Icy you wanded quite a few builds here. Mold is rather sad to see his build go. I think it looked really great too.

make aludane make a script that tallys up how many 1x1's and 1x1f's that everyone has.

you can then see at a glance who has assloads of them.

in fact, have him tally how many they plant and if they plant X amount, log to a file, along with ontifying the player -

"hey, you planted a bunch of small bricks. Keep in mind rule X of the build rules: [rule here]"
Nice idea. I will look into it. 1x1s seem to be the main brick for spamming.

From my experience, this isn't true at all.

There have been no recorded spam attempts using 1x1 or 1x1f. Most of the spam attempts are flats of 1x2f, 1x3f, hidden in floors.
