Yes that is what it stands for.

You know that little tingle in your head when you hear some strange sound or anything really.
That is ASMR.

There are several videos of ASMR on Youtube and surprisingly I searched up ASMR on the forums and found no ASMR thread so why not have one now.

Post your favorite ASMR videos and what is your strongest ASMR.

I mostly enjoy it when there is tapping noises on glass or something :s, very relaxing.

Here is also one of my favorite videos for ASMR:

If you have never heard of ASMR or seen a video of it then I encourage you to watch one.

/discuss this sorcery

This is quite interesting.

So is it like that 'safe' feeling when hearing a soothing voice and whatnot?

Uh, I did actually make a thread on this a while back, but nobody took it seriously, it should still be there somewhere.

I guess since it's all popular and stuff now this thread might survive.

so i'm not the only one

I searched up ASMR and found nothing but this thread:

"Things that feel good"

Which isn't really a thread based only upon ASMR.

Nope :)

Wow really :o?
You don't get an ASMR type feeling when listening to different scratching sounds or tapping?

Also, James Rolfe (You guys probably know him for being the AVGN) made a relaxing video a while ago, although it's not really ASMR it's relaxing nonetheless, I've gotten a tingly feeling from watching it a few times.

Guilty pleasure of mine, listening to hot women doing asmr videos.

i-doser

Is this similar to what you are talking about?

It doesn't do much for me...

There is a lot of ASMR videos.
Others react in different ways more than others.
If you searched ASMR up on Youtube and heard different videos you will probably find one that you enjoy a lot.

Well I checked out the video and it is nothing like the i-doser link I put up.  It is just like cardboard having love or something...  It makes me feel like I am in a library with people who really like zippers.  I guess I can understand why this can be relaxing, but I don't feel any different.

I'll check out some more videos.
