That is very cold, honest way of looking at life.

Are you really?!

Please explain your beliefs!  Secular as in you don't dawn the robes?  How is the Sangha work?

A 'religion' I've considered adhering to is Satanism. I've decided not to since its still another belief system that recommends attendance to stupid rituals, but I like their basic ideals.

LaVeyan Satanism isn't actually about worshipping Satan. Satan is merely a figure that

represents pride, liberty, and individualism—qualities often defined as Evil by those who worship external deities, who feel there is a war between their minds and emotions.

It's just atheism, except focused on rebellion from harmful religious ideas.

secular as in i'm less into the metaphysics and more into the psychology. only monks wear robes, lay people don't

my sangha is a theravadin forest monastery, so i turn up to both learn and help out physically where i can (monks can't dig into the earth etc). all donation run which is pretty cool

What do you mean metaphysical vs. psychological?  I can't really see the difference.  Like you prefer the mental and emotional stuff Buddhism provides over spiritual?

Iirc, Theravadin is a branch of Buddhism?  Specifically the more inclusive one?  Please correct me if I am wrong.  So do you go through the Noble Eightfold Path or whatever?  Do you meditate?  Sorry about all the questions.  I don't know anyone who is Buddhist.

metaphysical as in anything that resembles teachings of rebirth, and a lot of the more extreme rituals. Pretty much what you said, I lean towards the mental and emotional teachings.

yep it's the oldest tradition as far as i know. i don't know about more inclusive, that's a hard thing to judge. but yeah pretty much all buddhists follow the eightfold path, that's a central teaching rather than being tradition specific.

i meditate every morning for half an hour and then at night for half an hour before i go to bed

Christian Agnostic.

Cool beans if'n you ask me, gets me into arguments I like.

Agnostic and I expect I always will be.
I believe that everything was created by something at some point, I just don't care enough to try and find out what it was.

I'm culturally ambigious but my mom is hinduist as hell

I used to actively pursue Self Delete. The reason I am alive is because I think want to accomplish something.

Looks like you've found upon my previous rendition of the meaning of life, "The meaning of life is the meaning you give it." I still follow it to some degree.

Hey, I'm a Mormon too, good to see another friend on here is the same.

Yeah I'm still gonna go on a mission at 19 though.  I had my plans already laid out, so the appointment didn't change me much.  What about you?

I don't think I'm going to go on a traditional mission, my aspergers would make it really difficult and awkward for me to talk to people about my religion in person. I'm thinking of doing a service mission, maybe help out the church with odd jobs or computer skills.

That's cool, I was hoping someone would clarify, I knew I had heard something like this somewhere. The main problem I have with it is the name, It gives me a bad vibe.

That is so sick.  Thanks for sharing dog.  How did you even get into this?

You like the troo teachings of Christianity, but you don't know if God exists or not?  Is that what you mean?

Sorry for the three page bump, this stuff is so interesting to me.

I don't believe in actual matter ghosts. I believe in the ghosts of the human imagination.
